Desktop Frequently Asked Questions

Information Technology Services has been trying to accommodate the needs of users and the growing hard drives and file size.  We discovered the CrashPlan software we currently are using had an option of a cloud environment that offered unlimited storage for a reasonable price.  This was the perfect opportunity to give users the ability to backup all their files and still keep the cost affordable with a software we found to be robust and user friendly. Another feature of their cloud solution was they offer one account to register up to 4 devices so one users can back up their laptop as well as their desktops.  Moving our CrashPlan environment to their I2 cloud also has increased our ability for disaster recovery, since if a disaster would happen to the UNL campus or data is offsite in another state, safe.
